BHG Desk and Office Organizing Ideas

Here's a few miscellaneous desk/office area ideas gleaned from a Better Homes & Gardens publication I came across ...

  • Create a memo board: attach wire to the back of a hutch or to the wall and hang items with clothespins; use peel-and-stick corkboard to an easily accessible vertical surface in your work area; use chalkboard paint to make a memo area on a vertical surface such as a wall or cabinet side

  • Desk storage: collect all the small stuff in your office and stash it in a ready-made shoe organizer that sits on top of a cabinet or bookcase. Use the cubbies for small items you need only now and then; repurpose plate or pot lid rack with vertical dividers to file magazines, folders, and notepads

  • "Make working from home less of a chore with these office-organizing tips: Purge, then merge. Store things where they're used. Consider how often you use it before you figure out where to put it. Label everything".

  • Check out fave office gear websites: russellandhazel.com, seejanework.com, and the Container Store
