Organize. Repeat.

Decluttering is like exercising a muscle -- it gets easier once you've gotten momentum. Clients often tell me that it is lot easier for them to get rid of things after they've been working with me for a while. While at the start of our sessions, when they were slower to sort and hard-pressed to purge, as we progress, clients go faster and the process is easier.

Organizing and decluttering is not just about throwing things away. You learn through the process what you value and what really doesn't mean as much as you thought. You feel the liberation by ridding yourself of psychological and visual clutter -- it is quite freeing. You set into motion the discipline of keeping your home orderly with a place for everything, and once that's set, you find yourself working less.

Whether it is from a book, a TV show, or a professional organizer, get your inspiration to start "exercising"!
